Tenere 700: Eastbound MotoWinch LC2500 Mono-pod Rescue Jack & Eastbound Tenere 700 Wheel Service Tool Kit
I had made my own rescue jack inspired by the 'Dirt Napper' by Keith Products (a rescue jack designed by an avid rider & engineer circa 2018 & no longer made) in 2023 because of back issues & mostly solo riding, which can be viewed elsewhere on this blog via this link, but came across an unused Eastbound MotoMinch LC2500 mono-pod jack locally for a great price. It is one of the few commercially made mono-pod rescue jacks made.
The compact and lightweight LC2500 MotoWinch motorcycle jack weighs 2,27 kg (5lbs). It lifts a dropped motorcycle easily and it also is a multifunctional tool (the tubular sections can be used with other Eastbound tool kits to extend the length for higher torque applications...see bottom of post for max torque capability of Eastbound tools). It combines functionality of several applications and works on almost any motorcycle. If treated with care it lasts a life time. The 110cm (43.3″) working height of the MotoWinch is chosen to allow easy lifting of all types of motorcycles, including tall dual sports motorcycles.
LC2500 MotoWinch features;
- Motorcycle jack to help you lift a dropped motorcycle. Think about pinned down situations as well!
- The MotoWinch can be assembled in various arrangements from 2 shaft elements (45cm or 17.7") to all 5 shaft elements (110cm or 43.3").
- Total weight 2,27kg / 5 lbs (excluding options)
- Service jack for general maintenance, like chain lube, brake inspection, etc.
- Axle wheel nut wrench extension to remove your wheels (optional).
- Tyre spoon extension to remove and install a tyre from/on the rim (optional)
- Bead breaker tool to separate tyre from rim (optional).
- 3/8 inch square socket drive adapter extension, opening a range of possibilities (optional)
MotoWinch Size selection;
The LC2500 MotoWinch suitable for the heavier street motorcycles and cruisers of over 300kg / 660lbs and large adventure bikes (>1000cc) including possible luggage. The LC2500 package is a bit wider and 0,4kg (0,88lbs) heavier than the LC1500. For detailed technical information please refer to the Technical Product Info
As a rule of thumb, the LC1500 MotoWinch is suitable for the single cilinder motorcycles with approx 20 to 25kg luggage and mid size twin cilinder motorcycles (210kg class) without luggage. If you ride a single cylinder motorcycle on a long trip with 30+ kg of luggage or a twin cilinder with any kind of luggage, please choose the LC2500. The luggage changes everything! The LC2500 MotoWinch is also capable of lifting any other type of motorcycle up to and including large HD Cruisers.

This Yamaha Ténéré 700 Wheel Service Tool Kit bought Sept 2020 for front and rear wheels is especially designed and manufactured for the Ténéré 700, but differs slightly from the current model (see note below). The kit is packed in a small 17 cm x 9 cm canvas pouch.
Eastbound, manufactured in Netherlands, utilizes state of the art CNC milling machines & high quality light weight 7075 T6 aerospace aluminum capable of high torque loads incorporating a modular design with tools for other tasks such as tire irons, bead breakers, rachets, etc available...see bottom of post for more info.
NOTE: The current Tenere 700 kit (as of Aug 2025) has been modified replacing the 17-19-22-25 mm Hex wheel axle tool with a 19 mm Hex/3/8" drive combo eliminating the 22 mm wrench & 3/8" drive sliding adapter for the 27 mm socket in my 2020 kit.
19mm HEX adapter;
The basis for the kit is the 19mm HEX adapter with the 3/8 inch square socket drive adapter. With the 3/8 inch square socket drive you can use a large range of HEX sockets, Torx sockets, Alan key bits, Torx bits, etcetera. Add the sockets and tool bits that fit your bike and you have a complete ‘toolbox’.
Ténéré 700 rear wheel removal;
The Yamaha Ténéré 700’s rear axle nut is partially recessed inside the swing arm. It requires a conventional 27 mm socket or ring spanner to properly access and remove the axle nut. This kit includes an Eastbound 3/8 inch x 27 mm 7075 T6 lightweight low profile flank-drive socket for that purpose. The low profile Aluminium socket is much shorter and lighter than a standard 27 mm steel socket and easy to store.

For front wheel removal you need;
- 19 mm HEX Adapter to loosen the front axle bolt.
- 10 mm socket(*) to loosen the axle pinch bolts.
- 12 mm socket to remove one of the brake callipers to allow the wheel to pass between the fork legs.
The Eastbound Yamaha Ténéré 700 Wheel Service Kit provides all tools required to remove and reinstall both wheels in a handy and compact kit.
The Yamaha Ténéré 700 Wheel Service Kit includes;
- one (1) Eastbound 7075 T6 lightweight 19mm HEX axle tool & 3/8″ square drive; for front axle bolt and as adapter for various sockets.
- one (1) 3/8″ x 3/8″ Cr-V square drive adapter; to fit the tool bits and sockets to the 19 mm HEX adapter.
- one (1) low profile 3/8″ x 27 mm 7075 T6 lightweight Aluminium low profile socket; for removing rear axle nut.
- one (1) BGS 3/8″ x 12 mm chrome vanadium socket; for removing front brake caliper 12 mm bolts
- one (1) BGS 3/8″ x 10 mm chrome vanadium socket & bit holder; for the front axle 10mm pinch bolts

EASTBOUND DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The Aluminium components;
The Tyre-Pro components are manufactured in the Netherlands with State of the Art CNC milling machines. All parts are machined from extremely strong billet 7075 T6 “aerospace” Aluminium. This guarantees maximum durability and strength with minimal weight. All parts are anodized to ensure optimal surface finish. The various parts can be purchased as a set or separately so you can cost effectively extend your Tyre-Pro tool set to also suit another motorbike.
Oversized design of the Tyre-Pro wrenches;
Torqueing a rear axle nut to specs is one thing but breaking it loose when it’s seized up, can be an entirely different story! This can require forces which significantly exceed the nominal tightening torque. For most motorcycles this is roughly between 95Nm (70ft-lb) and 110Nm (81ft-lb). Other brands lightweight aluminium axle nut wrenches are designed and limited to a torque of less than 125Nm (92ft-lb). The Eastbound 17mm and 19mm Tyre-Pro ring spanners are designed for 175Nm (129ft-lb). The larger ring spanners are designed for 225Nm (166ft-lb). They can take these loads without any deformation, bending or even scratching.
Modular design;
The Tyre-Pro motorcycle tyre repair kit is not only lighter and much more compact than any other comparable tools (there are no comparable tools really!). It is also much more efficient and easier to use due to its longer handles. The Tyre-Pro set comes with four handle sections of 13,5cm (5.3″) which can be assembled in various combinations. The handle sections are common for the axle nut ring spanners, the bead breaker and tyre spoons. Using the same handle sections for all applications significantly reduces the size, volume and weight of the tools and avoids carrying around unnecessary bulk. With the available handle sections you can assemble the following tool length combinations;
- axle nut spanner combo’s in 12.6″+12.6″ or 8.25″+16.5″ [32+32cm or 21+42cm]
- tyre spoons combo’s of 13.4″+13.4″ or 9″+17.3″ [34+34cm or 23+44cm]
- bead breaker handles of 13.4″+13.4″ [34+34cm]
