 Ignition Switch Issue - Will Not Start if Key Not Fully Seated in On Position Detent This is a user interface/design issue. The T700 will not start until the key is fully seated in the on position detent.  If it is positioned between the off & on detent the bike will power up, fuel pump activate, bike will turn over...but will not start until the key is fully seated in the on detent position.   I discovered this when fatigued near the end of a day of off-road riding after stopping to gear up for the ride home. First I checked the starter switch position, then thought it might be the dreaded side stand switch...but if side stand switch is defective/open circuit the bike will not turn over. Others have confirmed the same issue with T7s & other Yamaha models & has been reported to my Yamaha dealer.  Since becoming aware of it, I have not experienced a re-occurrence 😀
