Tenere 700: Simple & Inexpensive Dual Height Brake Lever Addition

Image
Simple & Inexpensive Dual Height Brake Lever Addition I used 1/8" x 1" aluminum square stock to make a simple & inexpensive dual height brake lever addition utilizing the side slots in the oem brake lever to fabricate an anchor point for the right angle elevated brake lever extension to bolt to. This method negates the traditional bolt on assembly on top of the brake lever that requires adjusting down afterwards & adds bulk.  Now I can afford a tank of gas...lol Prices just hit $2.27/litre for regular unleaded in Vancouver, Canada.    My original concept was to duplicate a full dual height brake lever extension similar to what I did for my 2014 Super Tenere 1200 as shown below (my take on the Altrider Dual Height Lever Control), but then came up with the above simple version (KISS) that eliminates excess material that can catch on things & does not restrict the oem folding function. 2014 Super Tenere ES Dual Height Brake Lever Control Friend Marcus Palmehorn
