Super Tenere 1200: Pivot Pegz MK 3 vs OEM Pegs

Image
I bought Pivot Pegz for 4 reasons: 1) their unique swivel function, 2) larger surface area & reduced mud packing, 3) lowering capability, 4) stronger.  1) A ride review will have to wait until the bike is insured 2) They are wider by 15 mm or 0.6" & the same length....would have preferred another 13       mm or 0.5" of length for my E width size 12 foot 3) Pivot Pegz advertises that they can be lowered, however, only quotes generically that       they can be lowered up to 12 mm or 0.47" by interchanging the left & right mount       assembly or by moving the spacer from the underside to the topside of the mount. The       S10 mount is offset by just 3 mm or 0.12" on one side with no additional spacer, SO       that is the extent of lowering capability!  IF MORE LOWERING CAPABILITY IS DESIRED,       BE FOREWARNED!  When mounted in std position they are 1 mm or 0.04" higher than       the oem measured to the top of the metal cleats or 2 mm or 0.08&quo
