They are regarded as providing outstanding air & fuel filtration available in a reusable format. Air filtration down to 30 microns with increased air flow vs oem that can be used dry or oiled & fuel filtration via a sock that drops inside the neck of the gas tank & filters out contaminates such as dirt, sand & water every time you fuel up. I used the fuel filter in my Super Tenere for 4 yrs. The combo kit is the best value & sold in the US by BestRest Products or directly from Guglatech in Italy. Guglatech uses Rock Oil Factory Eco Foam Oil, which is not readily available in Canada, but also recommends No Toil & other quality filter oils. Rock Oil Factory Eco Foam is a non-toxic, water soluble air filter treatment. It’s compatible with all foam, cloth, and matrix air filters which can be cleaned with just warm, soapy water. It performs to the same standards as every other air filter oil, in fact it does a better job than some brands.

Air Filter Technology/Material
4 types of filter material are commonly used for air filters: paper, cotton, foam & 3D matrix:
- Most oem filters use paper because of good filtration characteristics, low cost, but are limited on air flow performance & are not reusable;
- Cotton & foam (3D layer technology) are popular reusable mediums because of high flow characteristics that rely on oil to trap particles that would otherwise not be filtered by their large (on a microscopic level) spaces inherent in the materials...filtration performance decreases & air flow increase as the oil dries out or if not evenly oiled...foam filters are not lifetime & will deteriorate & require replacement;
- Guglatech developed a 3D matrix material that can be used dry or oiled that filters slightly better than paper designs when used dry & much better when oiled, that flows about 3x more than paper & will typically never need to be replaced.

Thanks to John Rickman @ FunnelWebFilter based in Australia who is sending me the pair for evaluation as sales are currently restricted outside of Australia because of Trademark restrictions as of June 2022, however, they will release a rebranded version for international sales later this year. RideADV, an Australian Tour Company with a fleet of high mileage Tenere 700s now prefers them over the UniFilter as does Josh @ MVDBR Enduro (see videos below).
July 25, 2022: The filters arrived 3 days before I depart on a 3k km trip 😀 The quality looks good, utilizing flexible stiffeners in 3 places on the main filter + 1 on the pre-filter & a molded hard plastic base with cutouts to press into the space vacated by the removed air filter snorkle that easily pulls out of the air filter lid without tools or cutting. The kit includes gloves as they are not pre-oiled...I used No-Toil Evolution Biodegradable Filter Oil & Filter Grease.
